Baked avocado egg. Thank you, Pinterest 🙌

As a teenager, I wasn’t prone to bad skin or acne. Now, as an adult, I have been exposed to post acne marks and dry patches on my face :( it took me awhile to find the right products to use on my face. Without spending money and seeing a dermatologist, I did what any other person would do — I looked up reviews on products that people were raving about on the internet. Thanks to makeupalley and sephora reviews, I have found products that has been helping me repair my skin to go back to my teenage face I once had!

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser - I bought this in August and am only half way done with the bottle. The sales associate said to only use a pea size twice a day, morning and night. This has helped clear my skin and minimize the amount of oil my face produces. I have combination skin. I love the way this makes my skin feel. It never dries my face out or makes it feel tight. A little does go a long way — obviously, I’ve had it since August. Some people may think it’s a bit pricey, but you’re actually saving money by not going to your local drug store and buying the same cleanser once a month.

Kiehl’s Epidermal Re-Texturizing Micro-Dermabrasion - I noticed some post acne scars didn’t really go away and began having enlarged pores close to my nose. This has been my saving grace for smooth skin. I’ve had facials before, but I didn’t notice any real difference on my face. However, once I started using this, I noticed my pores were getting a bit smaller and my scars were starting to lighten up. I only use this at night 2-3 times a week and scrub my face gently for about 30 seconds. We never want to over exfoliate our face because it’ll strip the natural oils off of our face and make it dry. Be prepared for smooth, baby soft skin after using this.

Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Cream - I dab a little bit of this on my under eye area. I dab it with my index fingers upward. I noticed that I started to get lines and a little bit of bags, so I had to get this. It definitely that’s de-puffed my eye bags and got rid of my bluish, purple lines.

Josie Maran 100% Argan Oil Light - I was previously using two types of face moisturizers for the different seasons. I got tired of buying those products and wanted to do some research on something that will work for all seasons. When I found out that a lot of people were ecstatic about this oil, I was a bit skeptical. Oil on an oily face? I tried a sample from Sephora and fell in love with this stuff! I used one droplet and quickly saw that it absorbed into my face, in a good way. I saw the areas in my t-zone become matte and my dry patches looked hydrated. I use this both day and night and it has actually helped my skin become even more smooth, hydrated and gives my face a bit of a glow. Right now I currently have the travel size, but I’m opting to get the bigger bottle soon.

NARS Pro-Prime Skin Smoothing Face Prep - I LOVE THIS STUFF. I don’t use this everyday. I only wear it if it’s super hot outside or as a primer. I don’t like to wear a lot of makeup and sometimes I just wear this and my translucent powder, and I’m off. I love how this product helps with smoother application with my concealer for my under my eye area and on scars. This doesn’t clog my pores, diminishes the look of my pores and keeps shine and oil away. This stuff is amaze balls.

Smashbox BB Cream - As I previously mentioned, I don’t like to wear a lot of makeup. I hate foundation. The less on my face, the better. I only use this BB cream when I go to special events. I don’t have uneven skin, but there are days my face can get a litttttle bit red. I like how this gives my face a polished, natural look. I use the Sephora #45 brush to apply this on my face. I used to use my beauty blender, but noticed it went on too sheer. With the brush, you can build more coverage. This BB cream doesn’t dry out my face and doesn’t break me out. This over foundation any day!

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer - This stuff is the holy grail of concealers for the under eye area. I apply this with the beauty blender and it looks so natural. I create a V shape under my eye and blend it upward, using the beauty blender. I can’t say that I use this for scars because my BB cream covers all that.

CHANEL Soleil Tan de Chanel - I only use this for special events to give me a soft, bronzey glow in my cheek area. I sometimes wear this alone over my face primer to give my face a little bit of a glow. This never goes on cakey and never leaves an orange streak on my face.

MAC Liquidlast Eyeliner - I’ve used this eyeliner for years because this stays PUT. Even after swimming, this stuff stays on my waterline. I can’t use eye pencils or any other liquid liner. This is it.

NARS Translucent Crystal Light Reflecting Loose Powder - Don’t be fooled by the white powder! It actually goes on clear and helps makes my pores look smaller. This kept shine away for hours! I tested to see if this powder would show any signs of white on my face, and it didn’t show! I used camera flash on my phone as the true test, before buying this powder. I would recommend this over the pressed powder version because it gives you more product. I feel like with the pressed powder, you have to rub in your brush to get the amount that you want. It’s always good to set not only your face, so that everything is in place. Also, your skin feels super soft :)

Hopefully, this helps any of you who are as picky as I am when it comes to putting stuff on my face and making sure your money is being well invested into products that actually work.

I feel like I should start using this again. Hello people who still use this :)

I’m back
